5 of the best end-of-season ski breaks

1/ THE TOTEM POLE LOFT TERMINAL SNOW FLAINE, FRANCE

The utopian resort of Flaine was created in the 1960s by the Hungarian-American master of Bauhaus architecture, Marcel Breuer, and everything, from the lampposts to the ski lifts, bears his imprint. The trendy Totem Terminal Neige is where his vision has the most impact: the brutal, linear concrete exterior maximizes the view of the Alps and the winter sun, while inside are cozy textures and flea market finds. Book in the semi-autonomous loft with a group of up to six people: the spacious open living area is equipped with a Breuer-style fireplace, opening onto a large sunny terrace - it's the perfect place for an après-ski.

HOT SPOT

Make yourself comfortable in front of the huge fire designed by Marcel Breuer at the Totem Terminal Neige.
